Just Listed Post Ideas: 8 Ways to Announce a New Listing
One "Just listed!" post with a price and a photo is easy to scroll past. Spread the listing over a week instead, so each post gives people one more reason to look closer. Here are 8 just listed post ideas in a simple order that works.

The 8 posts
- Day 1, teaser: one detail photo (the front door, the kitchen light) and "New listing coming in [neighborhood]".
- Day 2, the announcement: your best exterior photo, price, beds, baths, square feet and one line about what stands out.
- Day 2, photo carousel: 6 to 10 photos in walk-through order, from the front door to the backyard.
- Day 3, feature close-up: one room or upgrade with the facts, e.g. "Kitchen updated in 2023, quartz counters, gas range".
- Day 4, neighborhood post: parks, coffee shops and commute times near the home, with real distances.
- Day 5, open house invite: date, time, address and what visitors will see first.
- Day 6, short reel or walkthrough: 15 to 30 seconds through the main rooms, with captions on screen.
- Day 7, recap: how the open house went or the question you heard most, plus how to book a private showing.
Before you post
- Get the seller's OK before you share the address, photos or open house times.
- Describe the home, never the ideal buyer: "fenced yard", not "perfect for families".
- Check your MLS and brokerage rules for marketing a listing before it is active.
- Show your brokerage name on every post the way your state requires.
