3 Halloween Text Messages to Send Past Clients
October gives you an easy, low-pressure reason to check in. These three texts are short, useful and sound like a person, not a campaign.

3 texts to copy
- Text 1, the events list: “Hi [Name]! Happy almost-Halloween. Want my list of local fall and Halloween events this year?”
- Text 2, the safety reminder: “Quick fall reminder: test your porch lights and smoke alarms before the 31st. Need a handyman name?”
- Text 3, the check-in: “Hope the house had lots of trick-or-treaters, [Name]! Want a quick update on your home's value this fall?”
When to send them
- Text 1: about a week before Halloween, once your events list is ready.
- Text 2: two or three days before October 31.
- Text 3: in the first days of November, while the season is still fresh.
How to build the local events list
- Check your city or town website, the public library, parks and recreation and local business groups.
- List the date, time, place and whether the event is free.
- Keep it to one page or one image, with your name and contact details at the bottom.
- Share public events only. Never map or name private homes.
What to avoid
- Texting people who haven't agreed to hear from you.
- Mass texts with no name.
- Turning a holiday greeting into a hard sales pitch.
